We Make Safety a Priority from Day One
At Wayne's Roofing, safety isn't something we add on later—it's woven into everything we do from the moment a new team member walks through our doors. Our recent recognition by AGC Washington for achieving a Top 10 Lowest EMR of 0.55 reflects a commitment that starts with comprehensive orientation and never stops.
Every new employee begins their Wayne's Roofing journey with thorough safety training that introduces our core safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the mindset that has made us one of the best, and safest, commercial roofing companies in Washington State.
Building Tomorrow's Safety Leaders
Many of our professional workers are trained through Joint Apprenticeship Training Programs offered through the Pierce County Roofers Apprenticeship and Seattle Area Roofers Apprenticeship Programs. These partnerships ensure our team receives extensive safety training before they even step onto their first jobsite.
"Apprenticeship ensures us access to an emerging workforce that is safer and better trained. It's a win-win-win outcome for our company, for our workers, and for purchasers of our services," says Don Guthrie, Chairman and CFO of Wayne's Roofing, Inc.
Safety as a Foundation
At Wayne's Roofing our philosophy is that safety excellence attracts highly qualified employees who take pride in their work. This approach has served us well—safety leadership begins on day one and continues throughout every project. When employees feel safe and valued, they deliver higher quality work, creating a stronger company foundation. This commitment to both safety and excellence has fostered long-term employees who are deeply committed to their craft and our mission.
