Roofing Day 2024
Roofing Day is April 16-17 this year. This great annual event is when delegate groups from the National Roofing Contractors Association (NCRA) make an annual pilgrimage to Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. for meetings with lawmakers and policy stakeholders about the roofing industry.
Roofing professionals representing contractors, suppliers, and related fields have specific agenda items they hope to address with their congressional representatives this year, including:
Providing an increase in funding for Perkins Career and Technical Education State Grants to help close the skills gap in the workforce.
Supporting a Stronger Workforce for America Act (H.R. 6655), bipartisan legislation to reform training programs so more job creators and workers can benefit.
Co-sponsoring the Essential Workers for Economic Advancement Act (H.R. 3734) to establish a visa system that meets the demands of a 21st-century economy.
Roofing Day in D.C. features expert speakers and panelists to inform and inspire attendees ahead of meetings with members of Congress, sightseeing tours, and opportunities to network and connect with fellow professionals.
