Wayne’s Roofing is Committed to the Community – Supporting Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital Over 30 Years

Join Us!

Wayne’s Roofing, Inc., has been a supporter of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees since 1990. The Festival of Trees supports many important programs and takes place in December each year. Typically, the festival takes place over several days in downtown Tacoma, and includes an invitation only gala. However, in 2020 the festival will be virtual! Since the festival will be virtual, everyone can participate. Including Wayne’s Roofing employees, customers, vendors, and friends. We encourage you to join us in our dedication and support of all the amazing programs Mary Bridge provides for our children, their families, and our community. Contributions from Wayne’s Roofing, Inc., and the Festival of Trees support causes like:

The Child Abuse Intervention Department

Mary Bridge’s Child Abuse Intervention Department (CAID) supports families when child abuse is suspected or discovered and offers community programs to strengthen families and empower people to prevent abuse. CAID includes some amazing forms of therapy, including the Therapy Dogs. Learn more about our programs HERE.

Daze, a yellow lab, has sat with more than 375 children, giving them reprieve from their traumatic experiences. Mary Bridge community services like CAID support countless children and families in the South Sound. These services are made possible thanks to donor contributions.

The Parenting Partnership

A program that makes medical home visits to fragile newborns. Each year, more than 650 vulnerable infants leave MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital’s Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to begin their lives at home, which can be challenging and scary. The Parenting Partnership helps babies and families thrive after they leave the NICU.

The Child Life Services

A program that supports children and their families to understand and feel less anxious about the medical procedures they are about to have and their potential hospital stay.

The Festival of Trees

This year the Festival of Trees will benefit the new Mary Bridge Children’s hospital. Ushering in a new era of pediatric care for the Pacific Northwest.

After more than 30 years of sharing space with MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital will be getting a new home.

The planned facility will be located in the vicinity of MultiCare’s current Tacoma campus, on the sites currently occupied by Jackson Hall, the Jackson Hall parking garage and the east wing of the Mary Bridge Children’s Health Center.

Once complete, the new Mary Bridge Children’s will be a hospital where every bed, exam table, operating room, imaging machine — where every facet of care — is designed exclusively for the care of children.

Work on the project is slated to begin in early 2021, with an estimated completion by 2024.
